Anyone Play Without Entrenchment/Diplomacy?

I haven't played Sins for a while, and I don't own Entrenchment or Diplomacy. I remember before Entrenchment I could find quite a few people online, but then after Entrenchment I was lucky to find five people, and now I've been playing a little bit of single player and I've been wondering if anyone plays without either of the expansions.

Most of the players have Entrenchment or Diplomacy, with half of them seeming to play Diplomacy exclusively.  There are people still playing normal Sins, but most of them are newer.  For various reasons, this game suffered a loss of players (online) after Diplomacy was released because it split up the player base, making it more difficult to find online games.  A bunch of the pros also had hissy fits over smurfing and said they were going to stop playing and moved on to other games (or they are now smurfing themselves).

The funny thing is; it seems like there are more newer people playing now.  Any diehards like me are still playing & Diplomacy is by far the best version.

i don't own the new one if you are still looking for some people to play some games
