GC II Dread Lords no scroll bars or check boxes

So the game runs fine with the exeption that when I'm playing there are no check boxes or scroll bars IN the game. There are check boxes in the Esc menu but nowhere else and it's really getting on my nerves. The first time I played it worked fine than I quit and turned the cmp off and later came bacvk turned it on went to play the game and everything was gone. I have already attempted to change the resolution to match my monitors and re-install the game.
