Store page should be updated

from Stardock Forums

As the title implies, the store page for Elemental should be updated to reflect that the game will not be supporting 64bit versions (as per info posted on the forums). Simply this could be considered false advertising and I dont want to see Impulse get in trouble.

Unless of course the game WILL support 64bit which would simply be awesome (even though my current gaming computer is only 32bit, but future ones will be 64).

Well, there will be a version of the game that runs on 64 bit Vista/Win7 either way, so you're not screwed.

The issue has to do with Havok, and the amount of money Intel wants for a 64 bit version of Havok. Without it, we'll be forced to use a 32 bit version of Elemental.

It looks like that SD refused to buy the 64bit version of Havok, because Intel wanted way too much money for it. :|

In all likelyhood, there will be a native 64-bit version.

In either event, Elemental would run on a 64-bit system, every major PC game currently out is 32-bit.  Our goal is for Elemental to be the first major title to have a native 64-bit version as well.

They are intending to have a proper 64bit version of the game upon release. Elemental as had been said uses Havok for physics. there is not yet a 64Bit version of that available as I understand it. However from what Stardock have said while the beta will remain 32bit for the time being this is on the way and they fully intend to release a real 64Bit version of Elemental as soon as 64Bit Havok can be made available to them.

So they don't need to change the site as they do intend to release a 64Bit version of Elemental.

man the computer that i'm getting in the future will be 64 bit but anyways i'm sure they will get this sorted out hopfuly.
