On December 19, 2002 Microsoft releases Direct X 9.0 End User Run Time.

It looks like this is Release Canidate 0, or just an early beta version.

As with any beta software, be careful when you go to install it.

ive got it installed on my gf4, workin great. Doesnt seem to have effected any of my games in any adverse ways. Wish I had something that supported the new stuff, but I wont get a radeon 9700 when I plan on purchasing a gf5 in 2 months

NVIDIA are currently working on the cooler iirc too loud and running hot from what i read on tomshardware, but what a monster of a card 500Mhz Core Clock and 1Ghz DDRII Memory.

From what I've heard, it have problems with Windows Messenger on some insatllations. Including mine.

Fixed a draw32.dll stack dump error on my w98se box w/...Red Faction Game.
My son was psyched....Despite the MS claimed compatibility w/2Kpro, I'll wait to put it on the 2kpro box untill windows updates rccd's it. Basically 9.0X is for WAN gaming and multi~port compatibility using direct play
