Crash at launch

Hi,

 

I try to run the TCM demo before buying it..

I tried with different compatibility mode (ie Win95, win 98, win NT) and the result is always the same : when I launch, I get the presentation screen (It's just a demo, you only have one market, blablabla) and when I click the button "Accept", the prog crash..

I'm runnong WinXP and my licenced version of Entrepreneur work well..

 

Can you help me ?

I'm having the same problem.  After I click connect, it tells me that it couldn't connect to the server.  I've already allowed it through the firewalls.

I loved Entrepreneur, and I was looking forward to trying the sequel.  But if the demo doesn't even work...

Here's how you can solve the problem.

 

Run the dxdiag (Start>Run>type "dxdiag"). Select the "Display" tag and there click "Directdraw Acceleration" - Disable. That should make the game playable. Don't forget to turn the acceleration back on after you are done playing.

 

Hope Stardock eventually patches up the game, although I won't bet on it.
