Turn Based Strategy?

Am I the only one who's thought about Sins becoming a Turn Based? Or am I going insane?... Keep your smart remarks to yourself Melkor995...

Please no... though if another studio wants to buy the license for a turn based game I guess that's their business. I'd rather see Ironclad keep working on real time games.

More likely, GalCiv 3 will take some inspiration from Sins.

It would be impossible for GalCiv to exist as a real time game.  There is no way you'd be able to manage your fleets, conduct research, develop planets and all that other jazz in real time!  IMPOSSIBLE!

Oh wait... Sins does all that...

Sins of a Galactic Civilization in 2012, sign me up!

More meant that GalCiv would remain turn-based and take inspiration from some of Sins features.  It goes both ways; a TBS can try to implement the better parts of a RTS, just as Sins has proven a RTS can draw inspiration from TBS.

Brad already said Gal Civ is going to steal tons of Sins gameplay features :)

Yeah, not surprising in the least.

I could see Galciv3 reusing the 3D graphics engine.  Only with Galciv3 maybe it'll really be 3D gameplay, and not just a Z-axis you never use.  And the love bomb--a Galactic Wonder that could project culture somewhere remotely would be interesting.  And the big red button--blow up ships in neighboring hexes.   And I hope Galciv3 has an option for lots and lots of asteroids.
