SOSE-trinity, can't find any mods folder to place my mods

Vista OS, and installed from impulse, Stardock

I've done some researching and have decided to post this for help.

I found sins of the solar empire- trinity through stardock, and since i have loaded and played GalCiv I & II

through stardock's impulse interface, I thought I'd try this acclaimed game.

I installed and immediately looked for mods to add to the game when I saw an actual Mods tab in options.

As I so terribly found out, there are some INCREDIBLE mods out there that use Sci-fi themes that we all love.

But, When I tried to add these mods (as per they're instructions), there was no destination folder!!!!

Every mod says to place it into:   c:\users\(username)\appdata\local\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\mods

after I enter c:\users\(username)----- there is no appdata folder..... I checked with properties in (username) and

the hidden box is unchecked (so no hidden appdata folder).

I have yet to try to add an appdata\local\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\mods folder set into (username)

BTW-- under users is only my name(username) and public folders... It is not in either.

I have also searched for ironclad games, appdata, mods folders in the advanced search window but it comes up with

nothing remotely like.  I have also checked through sins of a solar empire folder and no mods folder.

I appreciate ANY help/ guidance to this.  I am dying so bad to play anything Stargate/ battlestar galactica/ style games

that I would really like this to work!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank You ahead of time to all!!!

End of quote

It's a hidden folder.  Go to folder options (in control panel) and you can change the setting so hidden folders are revealed.

Just Windows trying to idiot-proof itself, and ends up just causing problems for users.

Well after all of that writing and investigation on the internet.  I have found the folder..

It was there all the time, but in all the posting on various sites noone suggested how to find

this folder string.  I was reviewing my post and thought I'd go over them again.

for those of us laments that need step by step instructions (including me)........

If you do not find the appdata folder in your (username)folder, it is because

it is HIDDEN.  Although the (username) folder properties may not have the hidden box

checked, that doesn't mean folders underneath it aren't... So we have to check the hidden

box in properties, and let it hide everything under (username). this may take a few minutes

depending on how much you have in (username).  When it is done everything under (username)

will "not be there" but no worries... Go back to (username) properties and uncheck the hidden box.

This time it will unhide everything, again taking a few minutes to finish.. and VOILA the appdata folder is

where it should be... I hope this works for me cause I'm writing this before I add any mods to

the game...........Thanks anyway and Happy Galactic Conquesting... and remember to wipe your feet

when you come into my Solar System

Also when you get the patch you'll have to wait for the new mod folder to appear, it is the most updated one. (exp mods entrechment 1.01 is not it, mods entrechment 1.051 is)
