Pirates Playable

Why not to add Pirates as a playable race in multiplayer games, they get money not from resources and commerce but only from destroyng ships and other player missions assigned.

Would be funny

Would be a great expansion for the gameplay

Uhm, I can't see how that should be balanced out, but anyhow, sound idea.

But then Pirates needs some caps, ability to take over planet (Ransome, anyone?).
And the people could be cyborgs ^^

theres modders out there that have made a few that you can play as the pirates its not very hard to mod it your self you just need to edit the players files in the game data folder find all 4 files for each race and make the pirates playable by turning the is playable from false to true then make ships and buildings that you want them to have

Hey!

Yea, my pirate mod is still in beta. All the abilities/structure is in place. Just the 2D art, and new models are vary much lacking.

It does NOT work in diplomacy. I may, or may not, convert it over once Diplomacy comes oout.
