ive been wondering are the labs in sins still needed after you have researched all the tech possible can you just get rid of them or do you have to keep them ive never gotten rid of any befor just rebuilding the one ive lost
Some technologies remain available if you lose the labs, others do not. In general, the only time it's worth getting rid of labs is if you bought two civic labs to access ice or volcanic planets and want to replace them with military labs.
Generally ability and stat researches persist after labs are gone. Any unit or building needs sufficient labs intact to be built.

Superweapon abilities are disabled if not enough labs are present for their technology.
