Empty Version Files in 2.0

First installed on Vista Home Premium, now on Windows 7 Pro, I find a regular problem where many files are being saved with zero bytes, i.e. no content.  I have only investigated this with Word Doc files, but this is the common file type with empty files (both doc and docx types), and the most important files on a daily basis.  AutoCAD dwg files seem to save properly. Graphics files seems okay.

I have seen old posts on this problem with a bug fix coming in version 2.0.  My version is 2.0.  I don't believe in getting something for nothing and so my paid for the product.  It is brilliant and when it works I am very happy with the software.  But I have trouble paying for something that does not work.

I have checked and rechecked settings such as file size.  Save number of files is 1000.  Path length can be up to 120 characters, but I thought this issue was solved.

Is there anything current on this behavior?  A workaround?

Many thanks, Ron

After working with tech support to find a solution to this issue, and continuing to get blank KeepSafe file versions, I saved the working file to a shorter path location in My Documents.  From this new path, the KeepSafe file versions saved correctly. In other words, a short path allowed KeepSafe to work.

The blanking path was about 125 characters.  There seems to be a bug remaining having to do with file paths.

It has been nearly two weeks since I heard back from tech support after reporting this.

I consider tech support the heroes of the tech business.  They keep it running.  I hope I will hear something soon.  I depend on this program.  I hope I am not forced to a different product.  Conceptually, there is nothing out there as good as KeepSafe.
