Played a game that got another invalid gamestate, and did a search on the forums and saw this is becoming more and more common..... Suprise, suprise, I had a game with shiro333 when this occured (there is another post with him.)
Is there a fix for this in the works?

Honestly i'm not sure what they can do about it, at least not with the resources they have available. The Invalid gamestate hack is used by the person running a program in the background where they change multiple values in the game using the program causing the errors and making it crash. I agree it is rediculous that more and more people are using it and nothing has been done about it. But the only thing we can hope is after SupCom2 is released they will shift some resources this way. I have great respect for Stardock doing so many things for this game to help make it, what it is today, and less and less respect for GPG, companies seem to be getting lazier by each release of new games full of bugs and no security.
Just realize how sad the person's life has to be if having a great win/loss record in DG brings them so much happyness.

Solution: An unranked mode where games are just played for fun
and no one has to bother about stats.
There you'll encounter less hacking, i guess.
Rankings are cool for those pseudo-e-sports type of players,
but i don't need this.
If you play on Lagwars, it happens a LOT less. Most people there don't careabout records and if you get a game going with say...4 others. Thats 4 people you can be pretty sure wont do this crap. Still happens randomly though.
