What is the current version?

https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/

I'm a little confused and have some questions. The link above includes the sentence "As for all current Ultimate users, you will receive a FULL YEAR added to your subscription on the launch of Object Desktop 2010.".

  • This infers that the OD 2010 is not yet available and the current version is OD2009 - is that correct?
  • If so does that mean I'm better off waiting for OD2010 rather than OD2009?
  • What is an 'Ultimate user'?
  • Is there a release date for OD2010?

Cheers,

ObjectDesktop in the past had 2 versions, Standard and Ultimate, with the release of 2010 a little while back they went back to 1 version. For those who had paid the extra for the ultimate version we had our subs extented by 1 year.

... with the release of 2010 a little while back ...
End of Cavan1's quote

So the current version IS OD-2010 then?

OD 2010 is a subscription, not a version, so to speak. It IS the current thing. If you had a subscription for OD 2009, an Ultimate Subscription, you got an extra year added to your subscription for 2010.

An Ultimate user paid a tad more and got a few more apps than the standard user. They have combined the ultimate and standard, so we only have one version now.

Release date for OD 2010 has passed. It is now the current version. If you are waiting to buy it, now is the time.
