Did Stardock piss off GPG or something?

Link!

I was reading that article and in there it says that supcom2 will be fully Integrated with steam. I thought stardock and GPG were on good terms, why would GPG decide to not use impulse? I'm not saying that They should've only used that but come on, everybody hates it when you HAVE to use steam. Just felt like sharing :)

Edit: Oh noes they dumbed down the Resources! The internet is not gonna be happy!

Well it looks like Square enix is publishing SC2 as well and they've been supporting steam lately.  Also Im sure after Demigod failed it was time for a change.

GPG blames Impulse for the network issues that Demigod had at launch. I was actually pretty sure it was the fault of Gamestop and other retailers who sold the game a few days early and forced Stardock to get the servers ready for real-use loads before they thought they would have to. But whatever.

Add on to the network issues the fact that steam is, overall, an inherently superior distribution platform with a larger audience.  I mean c'mon... why does impulse need  a person to input the address of the person they're 'sending' a gift to.... and then jump through digital hoops just to get it installed.

Played the demo for SC2... steam can have it ...because the way its looking like a regular rts like RA and junk that like.
