SIG.BIN question

the stardock support says if you reload/reimage your PC often to back up the SIG.BIN in the application directory that contains your activation information. Well just for shiggles I did that but when I searched for SIG.BIN in "Stardock" folder in Program Files it only returned 4 hits.

3 came up as "sig7.bin" and only 1 came up as "sig.bin"

There should be a sig.bin for each app.

Sig7.bin would be for WindowBlinds 7 though there should only be one of those.

I know, strange, do you (or anyone else that reads this thread) knows where else they are? and btw I might have forgot to mention that I have  more than for apps 4 apps installed

If you're using Vista or 7, you can find the other sig.bin files in C:\ProgramData\Stardock. I'm not sure about XP but

you can try putting in %ALLUSERPROFILE%\Stardock in the run command.

On a side note, can u use the backed up sig.bin files to activate the products offline after you a make a clean install of

Windows? I thought they were unique to each system meaning they become unusable when you make a clean install.

Or when you said Reload/Reimage, you meant reinstalling/repairing Windows or restoring from a backed up image of

the system drive in which cases the SID would be the same?

ok thanks chillychan that helped find another 4 SIG.BINs but that still only equals:

8 SIG.BINs for 12, 13, or 14 apps installed

The signature file for Fences Pro is named FencesPro1.bin. Also, I think some programs such as Keyboard Launch Pad

don't use sig.bin files so maybe that's why you're not seeing some of them.
