WB7 stopped working op 1-1-2010

Today, 1-1-2010 WB7 stopped working. It simply said: "WindowBlinds Configuration App does not work anymore"

I am also unable to upgrade to the newest version since Impulse states that the "File downloaded is larger then expected"!

Anyone has any suggesstions?

Which version did you have, radesign? Can you post your sysinfo?

Did you have the beta of WB7 still installed, or was it previously installed?

The betas would have expired on the 1st, but the release versions should not.  I have checked here and WB seems to be working just fine.

I was having the same problem. I was running a beta, files last updated 2009-10-29, and it stopped working upon the new year with the same error radesign reported. Like him, I was unable to update my WB7 install from Impulse given the "larger than expected" error.

What worked was completely uninstalling WB7, restarting, and doing a clean install of the latest build. Back in business, at least with WB7.

Unfortunately, Stardock Virtual Desktops will no longer download and install. Impulse tells me "Download file invalid ; MD5s do not match server". Any suggestions?

I TOO AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND I HAVE VISTA AND I UNINSTALLED WB AND STILL THE SAME PROBLEM.  I THEN TRIED TO PURCHASE OBJECT DESKTOP BEING THAT THE TRIAL IS ENDING SOON AND I REALLY ENJOY IT ALOT AND I AM GIVEN A MESSAGE I DON'T HAVE ACCESS !! 

I KNOW THE ISSUE IS WITH "SEVEN CONFIG" BUT JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT,,,,

I THEN INSTALLED THE IMPULSE SOFTWARE AND MYCOLORS AND WAS GIVEN A MESSAGE THAT I CANNOT USE WINDOW BLINDS WHILE MYCOLORS

IS INSTALLED !  THIS IS SO CONFUSING AND WILD !!   I HAVE EMAILED SEVERAL TIMES AND HOPE SOMEONE WILL SOON RESPOND. 

I KNOW THEY ARE ARE BACK FROM THEIR VACATION (WHICH IS SO STRANGE TO ME, THAT A COMPANY COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN) AND WILL

BE CATCHING UP TO THEIR EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS.......OH WELL,,,,

You should have received a support ticket number the first time you emailed support@stardock.com. Also, support reply to email requests on a first come first served basis and each time you email your position goes to the back of the queue. You only need to email a support request once to get the initial ticket number.

If you have a ticket number then please post it here as then it can be tracked.

Note: A post in all CAPS is called SHOUTING. It is easier to read when posted in both Upper and lower case letters.

Where did you download your version of WindowBlinds from?
