Yes, to activate WindowBlinds.
Contact support - support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket. They will get Impulse working again for you.
thanks for the reply Hankers
i sent in a trouble ticket yesterday , just waiting to hear from them
Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling it? How did the problem start?
Stardock is closed for the Holidays until Monday, January 04, 2010. They will get to your support request as soon as possible.
thanks again Hankers
@DrJBHL yes i have tried that 2 times and still same thing
no clue how it started i clicked on the impulse icon to buy wb and it just gave a error and tried to restart and got same error
so i searched thru the forums and found a couple things and ive got the impulse error text file its just alot to type out
here is the first few things
exception: the type initialier for cw threw an exception
inner exception: unable to generate a temporary class (result=1)
error CS0007: unexpected common language runtime initialization error class not registered
i am running vista 64 ultimate
You're gonna need someone from Support. Sounds like mistranslated Greek to me.
Sorry I couldn't help. ![]()
If it worked before: Have you changed any security settings or software or had any recent updates to same?
If it didn't: Have you tried installing Impulse with all AV/Security apps temporarily disabled?
Is the BITS service running? (not sure if it's still required though)
Okay, lets take it from the beginning.
Sounds like you have used Impulse before, is that correct?
Explain how you were using Impulse before this problem happened.
You can use Impulse to purchase WindowBlinds throught the Store/Explore tab, and yes you will need Impulse to activate and install WindowBlinds.
well ive moved up to win7 and everything works fine now
hopefully it will continue to do so
I wish they wouldn't have switched to this 'impulse' thing lol.
I don't like having to download software to download software. Make sense? I now prevent it from running anyways.
