What OS are you running?  Is you computer an off the shelf brand name or home built?

Are you using any other type of customization software?

using vista, is an HP EliteBook6930 and i'm not installed anythig strange!

By the way, my previous PC was the same! I changed it cause i had problems with the previous one.

99% is not a problem of PC, or SO.

what i'm asking my self is that as i saw this error many times also in collegues computer, i suppose many other people have the same... no one can explain me how to resolve it?

Same here, Window7 64-bit. Works on 1 system but not on another. Both Dell optiplex 960. I've done all the usual suspects, disable UAC, disable antivirus, etc

I would suggest everyone contact support@stardock.com with this problem. It may be a simple fix; but then again it may need to be gone over carefully to see whats up.

Make sure you have the latest updates for Fences (it should say 12/19/2009 under the "Last Updated" column) as there may have been a fix in there.

This is most probably Fences related software problem.

I used Fences on a custom build PC running the Evaluation version of Win 7 64bit. Fences worked fine.

After replacing the evaluation version with a final commercial version of the same Win7 64bit on the same machine (NO hardware changes!) Fences wont run and will pop up with the error mentioned bij TS.

Ill have a look if any other requirements have to be made (like NET.framework) and if so ill come back.

Edit: I updated the install using Windows Updater and then de- and re-installed fences.

After doing so i did not restart the PC when Fences ask for it, but right clicked in an empty area of the desktop. fences came up instantly.

So if any of you still have problems do try to update your OS using the Win Updater. Most likely it will work fine then.

Best if you uninstall and reinstall. Or you can write support@stardock.com

Wait until a person answers (not the autoreply) or subsequent emails will put you at the end of the queue.

Until they get back to you I would recommend uninstalling, removing all traces of the installation, and try again.  This time make sure you are running as administrator and any security-type software is disabled.

1/ I've unistall all, with CCleaner too. Réinstall.

Insttal as Administrator and standar install of Win 7 with all security disabled,

And nothing happen.

2/ When i've installed an other programm, some time i nedd to fix .dll assembly of windows to run.

Somebody have a list of .dll used by stardock to try to correct these, if some fix exist at  Microsoft ?

Thanks in advance.
