System tray icons problem(s)...

Hi everyone,

I've recently started using ObjectDock (immediately upgrading to Plus) and am loving the ease of use and great functionality it brings. However, I'm noticing a couple of problems associated with one of my docks which is displaying my system tray icons. For the record, I have disabled my taskbar.

  • I cannot edit any of the dock entry properties of the system tray icons (presumably because they already have a right-click function associated to them). This means that most of the icons are highly pixelated and some are not showing at all. As far as operation goes, this isn't too much of a problem since I have the text name showing on mouse over. However, it obviously doesn't look too great and I was wondering if there was any way I could remedy this.
  • Some programs launched from the system tray icons (Skype especially) appear to not recognise mouse clicks anywhere within them. The graphical changes on mouse over still occur, but nothing happens if I click anywhere within the program window. This also means that the only way to close it is to right-click on the relevant open program icon and click close (or use the task manager). Opening the program from the start menu (or any location other than the system tray icon) results in normal functionality. Any idea why I'm having this problem?

Thank you in advance.

James

Left click on an icon of a program in systray and hold for 2-3 seconds -- the normal dock properties window will appear.

*BUMP*

Any ideas on the second point? I've also noticed that a couple of things (the windows update icon, for one) can only be opened from the system tray on the taskbar and not from the one in objectdock. I use the 'plus' version, if that makes any difference.
