A primer in playing aggressive (5v5 ICO replay)

Tonight myself and some of the best online players (not me but I had fun:D ) played a 5v5 which was unique in that it there was no true suicide spot or pocket.  For those who don't play online that is where you are squished between two rushing enemies or have an ally to each side.  What it turned into was 5 1v1 games with a few team tactics mixed in.  The teams were JohnJames, [_]ArchNemesis, Disruptor22, Citizens General Lu and NWcityguy2 (me) vs. {SB}=>Ferdie, _|~jbaum, Aquia, fortune and Slackah Chiken.  Basically no one developed an economy but rather attacked attacked attacked each other into oblivion.

If you are having problems with rushers, or are wanting to become a rusher yourself this replay is definitely worth a watch.  You'll see several different kinds of fleets, what counters them and in turn what counters the counter.

For  anyone who doesn't know how to get to the proper folder here are directions.  Move the file to "C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Record-MultiPlayer" to be able to watch it.  You will have to change <user name> to yours.

Hey, ive been trying to download that file, but I megaupload crashes whenver i try to download it.

Can you tell me what im doing wrong so i can see how pros play?

I just downloaded it and put it into the Record-MultiPlayer fold (as decribed above) and it's working fine. Maybe it is when you cick download the first time you need to wait for the counter to finish, then a button will apear with a standard download. click on that button. Worked for me.

I didn't even need to change the <user name>.

a few questions.. i dont have a ironclad folder. i go programfiles>stardock games > sins of a solar empire and i see no record multiplayer thing. I also have never played multiplayer im just trying to get some protips.

 

 

i also do not have entrenchment but may get later tonight.

Wrong direction,

For windows XP the file path should be > C:/Documents and Settings/YOUR NAME or USER NAME/Local Settings/Application Data/Ironclad Games/Sins of a Solar Empire/ (Now you should see a list of diffrent folders)

You also need to turn on (Show Hidden Files and Folders) in your tools at top of your window (Tools> Folder Options> View [TAB]).

Dosn't matter weather you played multiplayer or not to watch the recording. kk

Though you may need Entrenchment.
