Scott needs to have a in game Sovereign :)

Well at least you didn't kill Draginol ;)

I can see it clearly: a mod based on digital distribution platforms. Lord Frogboy would lead The Impulse Kingdom as Sovereign, of course. And they don't cast spells but launch games and marketing ads. Instead of citizens, we have fanboys while normal users would be mercenaries.

I'm in. Seriously, this sounds like a fun little joke mod........ can we name units after forum denizens?

Units? If they have enough Karma they are Heroes you can recruit! (with a proper set of abilities for their forum activities)

Sounds fun. I'll give my take on what positions I think the developers and some forumites should have

Frogboy - Sovereign

CariElf - Sovereigns wife (Only people related to Elemental are considered :P )

BoogieBac - Spokesman (the guy who talks to the masses about declarations and stuff i.e. new laws, higher taxes etc.)

Island Dog - Head of technology

Zoomba - Royal ArchMage??

Scoutdog - Sovereigns Imp ;P

Raven X - Apprentice Necromancer disguised as a noble

Now lets try to fill up this list

How much karma is enough karma?

Imp? }:)

In any case:

  • Luckmann: Bear-cavalry(wo?)man hero.
  • Wintersong: Amazon warrior (yes, I know you're actually male (or at least want us to treat you like you are) but you always always always ALWAYS have an amazon avatar, so....)
  • GunslingerBara: Hero recruitment advisor.
  • Kryo: Domestic/economic advisor.
  • Landisaurus: giant troll.
  • GW Swicord: Whate-haired, Gandalf-type wizard.

Hypothetically speaking of making such a mod,

Kingdoms: Impulse, GamersGate,...

Empires: Steam,...

The Sovereigns would be the CEOs or whoever has the power there. Lord Froboy for the Impulse Kingdom.

There wouldn't be Elemental Shards. They should be something like Publisher Shard, Support Shard, Infraestructure Shard... So the most powerful tactics would require a certain number of them. You could cast Ads for extra Prestige for your Kingdom/Platform, release new games ("I cast 'Elemental: War of Magic'") for extra revenue,...

Cities wouldn't exist. We would get Sites. In those Sites forums could be built, as well as extra infraestructures for digital disitribution, training camps for adamant and militant fanboys,...

Most "important" users (Karma coud be used for Stardock forums) would be featured as Heroes that could be recruited. There would be different power levels (and maintenance costs). For those worried about Karma: 20+ Minor Hero; 70+ Hero; 120+ Great Hero; 200+ Epic Hero. Users like Annatar would be given automatically a rank and role in the mod similar to those of Dragons in Elemental. So if you were hoping to recruit Annatar easily, forget about it.

Tech trees would reflect the nature of the mod, with techs like "Improved fanboyism", "Advanced Flaming", "Shady EULAs",...

Hypothetically speaking.

Yes, minor hero!

And for this hypothetical mod, don't forget D2D:P Maybe Good Old Games, too.

So if we, the forum denizens, are the heroes for the Kingdom of Impulse, who are going to be the heroes for Steam and Gamers Gate?

BTW, if you need to have 20+ Karma to even be a minor hero, somebody oughta start giving me karma. :erk:

Hypothetically speaking,

we would need to send some drones of total zealots to other forums to check users (or we could just pick random... being a mod for an exclusive Impulse game, by nature it should be biased (that not unbalanced) towards Impulse's enviroment :P ).

About the Karma, could I suggest some poking to people here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/369550? Every (poking) road has a beginning.:X
