Perhaps because for the majority of the time that I've been using OD+ I've had issues that still have not been fixed? Stardock has 90 days refund policy (60 days for PayPal). So one can install on XP, run fine for over 90 days, upgrade to Vista, encounter a bunch of problems and be stuck. 90 days have elapsed and Stardock is asking to pay for bugfixes on a supported platform. That doesn't seem reasonable to me.
Ya know, incOgnito, I fully expect to have to pay something towards the development of OD+ 2.0 when it is released... and yes, I too bought OD+ 1.0 when XP was the lead Windows OS... and yes, I had some issues when I upgraded to Vista x64... an OS for which OD+ 1.0 was NOT designed. However, despite my systray docklet not working, my start menu applet not working, I do NOT pounce on every OD related thread to bitch about it. In fact, I don't see anyone else habitually pouncing on OD threads to voice the same bitch over and over again... just you.
The key here is that YOU upgraded to an OS for which your copy of OD was not written... therefore it is NOT Stardocks fault or responsibility.... it is, however, YOURS.... it was your decision to upgrade. Furthermore, you have ignored every explanation as to why OD has not as yet been updated... the fact that the lead developer has had more work to contend with than any one person could manage efficiently and competently, and thus you have continued your whining diatribe and deeemed Stardock to be running a "shady operation"... all because things have not run according to your timeline/way of thinking.
A bit cynical, yes,
Downright rude and arrogant, more like it.... so much so, I'd have your posting priveleges revoked if it were up to me. Yes, it is a privelege to post here, NOT a right, and to date you have done little else but insult, mock, defame and harrass your host... and that, to me, is sufficient grounds to kick your arse off the boards. So thank your lucky stars, then, I'm not an administrator and/or a moderator.
