Little problem with "Start" button

Hi all :)

I've got Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and I just bought Windowblinds :)

So I've tested a lot of great skins but I especially love the "Morph" one.

Everything is working great, exept one thing : For each theme, the "Start" button doesn't seem to be correctly "aligned" :

In the example, the "Start" button must be in the middle of the bar, not above...

So I would like to know if it's normal or if I can change this !

And just for this skin, you can see a central empty little vertical bar, and I don't know why I have that.

Thx for your answers, and sorry for my bad english...

Tom

I would guess it's because the skin was made for XP and Vista. Some skins not specifically made for W7 work fine, some don't. As to how to change it, you'll have to wait till the more experienced stumble onto your post, I don't have a clue, sorry.

I'm on Win7 Home Premium 64-bit and this is what it looks like on mine.

You'll need to have SkinStudio to do this, but here's how to fix it. You can follow along in the screen shot too.

1. Open SkinStudio. Open the Morph skin. Click on the "Start Menu and Taskbar" menu item.

2. Click on the "Edit Horizontal Taskbars" item.

3. Click on the "Start Button" menu item.

4. Select the "Extras" tab; choose the menu item that says "Use Vista style positioning." Make sure to check the check box.

Oh, and by the way: not sure why you're getting that missing spot in the middle of the start menu. It might have something to do with the fact that you have a non-English version of Windows?

Oh my god, I have found something !

In the options of the task bar, I chosed "use little icons" and It works perfectly !

But thanks very much for your help.

For the vertical empty bar, It's only with the Morph, it's wired...

Yeah, I do that too; but without fixing as stated above, it won't look right if you ever wish to use the skin with the bigger taskbar. Glad you found a fix, though. :)

The other thing you could have done is opened WB settings and on the advanced settings tab selected "I want to force the start button to be positioned in the middle in all skins"

I've done this as well, but I just find that most skins designed for Vista look better with the small icons.  Personal opinion only, really just a matter of taste and which looks better to you.  With SKS/WB 7 coming down the pipes, hopefully we'll start seeing more and more WB7 compatible skins.
