Windowblinds 7 and Windows 7

We will be installing a full install of Windows 7, uninstalling XP and reformatting.  Should I go for Windowblinds 7

or can I use Object Desktop as is.

Thank you.

When you install Impulse and login, WindowBlinds 7 will be available as it's part of ObjectDesktop. You will need to use WindowBlinds 7 on your Win 7 system.

I just did a clean install of Win7/64. I don't have Object Desktop, but I do have a registered Windowblinds 6.xx. Do I have to purchase a new copy of Windowblinds 7 or is there an upgrade avaliable?

rheyl, open Impulse, make sure that the "Show pre-release versions" check box is checked. This is located in the blue tab in the upper left.

WindowBlinds 7 should then be an option for you to install through Impulse when you view your software. :)

There is a lot of confusion surrounding the release of WindowBlinds 7 and what is/isn't compatible with Windows 7.  The below should clarify this.

-WindowBlinds 6 is NOT Windows 7 compatible in any way.  WindowBlinds 7 adds Windows 7 compatibility as one of it's features.
-You will need to uninstall WindowBlinds 6 or upgrade to WindowBlinds 7 to run the Windows 7 upgrade.
-WindowBlinds 7 is only available to Object Desktop subscribers or customers who bought WindowBlinds standalone after the free upgrade cutoff (4/1/09)
-The WindowBlinds 7 beta is only available through Impulse.  To see it, you need to have pre-release versions enabled:
---To see pre-release versions of software in Impulse, click on the blue menu button in the upper left corner. Place a check in the box that says 'Show pre-release versions'.

---This will enable you to see the latest beta builds available for download.
-Stadalone purchasers before 4/1/09 will be eligable for the paid upgrade to WindowBlinds 7 which will be available when the final version is released (date TBD).
