Any version 1.181 replays?

Hi to all those who are reading this forum!

I've just started playing this game and crushed a few AIs in multiplayer. When I noticed that there was a replay option in this game, I thought: wonderful! It's through replays I learned to play Supreme commander competitively in MP. But I couldn't find any version 1.18 replays on the forums. No one seems to upload their replays on the internet, which is a shame, as new players could learn a lot from almost ANY multiplayer, or even single player, replays.

So come on guys, I know some of you are playing version 1.18 in multiplayer. Go on and waste a minute of your time to upload the game you just played somewhere on the internet. It doesn't need to be a PRO game or very skilled. It just helps to understand the basic tactics, trends, build orders and other things used in multiplayer games. As a newbie, I would really appreciate it!

PS. I'm not using entrenchment because my friend has it and I don't like the starbases, they seem to make the game a big camping fest. As a Supreme commander player this is understandable for me, because in that game, online ranked matches rarely take over 30 minutes, mostly under 20.

I can't comment on the replays though there's a thread in the Multiplayer forum where people post them, but most are for Entrenchment.  You might see Entrenchment differently if you played it against human opponents; I really think that the starbases add new strategic elements to the game and the general consensus seems to be that Entrenchment is better than regular Sins, which is why most online regulars are playing Entrenchment and probably why most of the posted replays are for Entrenchment.  In humans v. humans games the starbases do not get spammed out.

I was very skeptical about Entrenchment too for the reason you mentioned, but it's won me over.

Welcome to SINS, games take hours. 1-2 usually. Its a different beast than more RTS. Dont expect games to finish in less that 30 unless you play a tiny map. Good Luck with the MP.

I understand that most players play entrenchment, maybe I'll get it too.

But I'm sure that SOMEBODY plays 1.181 and could make replays of some of his games. :)

Just for clarification, most onine multiplayer locked team games don't last much longer than 1.5 hours with many finishing beore that.  Games with balanced teams can last longer though, but you probably won't mind.

I stand corrected. Going by what Ive experienced. Im sure the more advanced players can whip out a game quicker.

I prefer the longer games anyhow.

I enjoy epic games that go past the 2 hour mark, but after 2.5 hours it starts to get tiring.

Is it normal that a 1v1v1v1 in a 25 planet map takes over 4 hours?

I had a such game with my friends. After 2 hours it was clear that one of the guys was going to win as he had taken almost all planets of another player and upgraded his econ to a massive level (TEC). Is it normal that ppl surrender when they see they have no chance even if their own planets and fleets are untouched? That way the game would have ended in 2,5 hours max.

But still, i've seen many 1.181 games hosted in ICO. Please somebody post one of your such games here. ^_^

Yes, normally the losing players will say "gg" and quit or surrender as appropriate.  (You don't want to surrender if you're in a team game and other guys on your team will keep playing because AI doesn't take over for you; it dicks over your team.)

I think a 1v1v1v1 would take longer than a 2v2.  As the number of players per team gets smaller and as the map gets bigger, the longer the game will run.  So, a 5v5 on the huge random single star really doesn't take all that long even though there are more players and a bigger map.
