Skype bug when using windowblinds?

Hello everyone!

Since yesterday I've been using Windowblinds (v. 6.0 build 49 x86 - Vista Edition) and it installed fine, no problems. But since then I have an issue with Skype. I'm using latest version (4.1.0.179). The problem is I cannot change online status because the popup menu with Online/Away/Offline... isn't popping up when i put my mouse on "Change online status"! It's the same if i try from taskbar icon or from Skype main window.

Does anyone now the solution or the cause of the bug?

Second minor issue is with Visual style of the window in Skype options, when it is on "Skype" i have kind of double edges on contacts window. When i put on "Classic windows" option the contacts window looks normal. Weird.

I should mention that, before Windowblinds installation, I didn't have those problems, everything was ok.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall skype but nothing changed. Also tried to change a theme in Windowblinds but the issue wasn't solved! (I'm now using Tronnix theme)

Please help!

thank you

Sounds like the application doesn't follow the typical conventions used for skinning - some apps are just stubborn.  You might try excluding it within Windowblinds, or telling Windowblinds to just skin the application's title bar.  I don't have access to WB6's config window anymore, but the setting is somewhere like "Settings/Per Application - Add Application".  There's a window that comes up, "Exclude this application" is a checkbox option at the top, towards the bottom of the list is "Only skin this app's title bar" or something similar.

Might be with OD/OD+...there have been posts about Skype 3.8 working well w/OD and 4.0 not.

Don't know if this is true about WB, though.

Why are you using such an old version of WindowBlinds?

Please post your system information from the WB system information page.

Get an older version of Skype and everything will be fine. I am running version 4.0.0.226 with no issues.

Latest version of Skype and WindowBlinds should have no issues.  Most likely this will be fixed if you update from 6.0 to 6.4
