Problem updating windowblinds

Ok so this has been ongoing since i installed impulse months ago.  Whenever i see a new update for windowblinds i click update, it downloads, extracts etc.. then it will say installing and it will stay there indefinitely until i'm forced to close the application.  In turn this will cause the verification of my install to fail, although the application will work if i verify the install it says it's not installed correctly.  Believe me when i say that i have left impulse go for hours "installing" and it just does not complete for some reason.  No errors, nothing.  My only way around this is to uninstall and reinstall every time WB has an update, which i've been doing for quite some time.  Until recently it started happening with iconpackager too, it just won't stop installing. 

I'm using win7 x64.

Any ideas.
