Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

I'm curious, was that avatar made by photoshop?

The Admiral

Nope, by Clipart.

Who's he?

I'm ashamed of him now. Well, even more ashamed.

I should make an avatar in computer graphics someday...

EDIT: Wait, do you mean an artist who named himself Clipart, or that little add-on to Microsoft Word? I'm confused.

Never be ashamed. Its hurts too much.

Dang it Ryat, I told you not to kick ninjas with your toes pointing outwards; strike with the flat of your foot.

Now look at what you have done!

Revan!

I made tesb's avatar with GIMP!

FROM SCRATCH! (save the font.)

No, no... you kick with the heel if you can. Just have to swoop it around to the other side.

Dude, I am a Karate master, you can't argue with me. :P

Heel works too, but you don't use the heel for snap kicks... That counts as overextending.

BAD TECHNIQUE

Ryat was obviously defending his family from the ninjas, so he had to use snap kicks to stop their quick footwork. Unfortunately, when he took out the last one, he forgot to point his toes, and his toe was broken from impact with the ninja's forehead.

CRACK

Lesson to be learned: don't kick ninjas with your toes.

I wouldn't use the heel for snap kicks. In fact, I prefer to avoid snap kicks altogether. Too many people have no control over them and either can't stop them should they need to or at some point allow it to snap too hard and it starts causing them knee pain.

I get close with one kick, but I always aim for the opposite side of their head, so that the impact will disperse a lot of energy and I can withdraw before full extension. Not to mention I keep ready to pull at a moment's notice.

Then again, capoeira doesn't use blocking like karate, so I'm use to evasions and counters that produce something of a circular path. Makes it easier to get the heel in. Difference in style is all.

Karate teaches us that circular patterns, while powerful, are easy to deal with; just complete the circle.

They roundhouse, you step back and help it keep going.

I have great control of my balance and snap kicking, which is a base technique for our branch of Karate.

My legs are rather inflexible, and I can barely kick higher than waist high, so I have had to work harder with my arms to pick up the slack, always probing for an opening while leaving none, keeping myself from overextending.

I am an excellent blocker/dodger, but I have severe difficulty with stepping in on my opponent's tempo and landing a strike.

Capoeira? Never heard of it...

I am looking it up now...

One of my many, funny stories as a bus driver, this is a recent one. After getting off the Major Deegan xpressway to 138th street to cross over the Madison Ave bridge to Harlem, homeless guy was walking to the vehicles at the stop light, he had a large sign that said,"HELP, I need money for kung fu lessons because Ninja's killed my family."

Everyone on the bus cracked up laughing after I told them what the sign said. Just one of many funny tales from Greyhound in New York City.......
