Starbase Problems

I just got Entrenchment yesterday, and I've noticed that all the starbases appear as black instead of as they would normally appear. For instence, the vasari orkys don't have the "eyeball" on the bottom. Please help me asap cause its bugging me!!! Thanks.

sounds like something did not get downloaded properly

suggest uninstall everything (including Regular Sins) and reinstalling

Ok, i'll try that. But i will be able to get entrenchment back? ( If I uninstalled it)

Yeah just use the impulse downloader. to install again.

Entrenchment should be registered to your account

Ok good. Thanks guys, i'll try that now and if it doesnt work, i'll let you know.

I just checked, they are installed correctly. I'm outta ideas! Why the heck is this happening? I've had vanilla for about a year, no problems, so i don't think its my computer.

whel from you description, I would sispect that either the starbase meshes are at fault or the starbase textures are at fault.

just one thought what is your computer's specifications?

you could upgrade the ram in your laptop 2gb for vista is ok but sins needs 2gb as well, so you could replace you 2x 1gb with 2x 2gb ddr2sodimm 800mhz

"Intel(R) 82945G Express  256.00 MB Chipset Family Vid. Card"

There is your problem, I had the same card on my old PC and its lack of abilities in terms of how it processes things is abysmal. Then again I seem to have really high expectations for gaming c..c

The blackness sounds like it is unable to process something, not sure what but its probably the reason :D

Is that an integrated GPU?  If so, it might not be a bad idea to just get a bona-fide video card.  You can probably find a capable one for around $70.

im looking for the location of the textures/meshes to try deleting them then verifying because im having the same issue its quite annoying to jump into a system and see no starbase than have your fleet wiped out by a fully upgraded one

try lowering your graphics settings to high OR meduim for planets, structures and ships.
