objectdock 1.90 - Problem with Recycle Bin

Hi, i'm new here, i discovered objectdock today and i love it.

But i have a problem with the recycle bin.

First, i speak French and the recycle bin still called Recycle Bin (in English) even after editing the French.lng file. But it was not the biggest problem... Then, i remove from my desktop my real Recycle Bin with regedit tweak. Because, i love objectdock since my desktop is completely empty.

But i realise, when the Recycle Bin is on the desktop, there is no problem, but if you remove it from your desktop, you can't empty it. It is impossible, The choice of "Empty the recycle bin" just disappear when the real Recyle Bin is not on the desktop. So i feel oblige to have my real icon on my desktop.

Then i found (with google) an alternative solution, just here: http://www.dockex.com/items/32

So i download this new Recycle Bin. All was ok, now i can empty my recycle bin with this one even my real recycle bin icon is not on my desktop. But, unfortunatly, here too, i have a problem. When i try to open this Recycle Bin, i just can't open it. I have this error message:: "There is no software associated with this kind of file. Create an association by using the application Folder Options in the Control Panel".

So, i go in the control panel and open Folder Options, but i don't know what to do in Folder Options. And it's not right if i can't open my recycle bin to see what it contain.

Need your help about that.

EDIT: I still didn't found the solution, but i found something that, maybe, should help to find the solution. Here it is:

On my computer, the windows Recycle Bin is located in: C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1214440339-113007714-1801674531-1001

So i created a shortcut of this location in the dock. This way i can see the content of my recycle bin, and i can also empty it even my recycle bin icon is not on my desktop. But there is a problem, ObjectDock detect this shortcut as a shortcut, and not as my recycle bin. So, the problem is that recycle bin can only have ONE icon in the dock. My recycle bin is full or empty, it will have the same icon, it will look the same. Not usefull to know if there is something in the recycle bin. Because this way, i'm obliged to open the recycle bin to know if there is something inside.

:grin:   Finally!!! i found a working solution!! If someone have the same problem, i hope he will find this topic. Because here is the solution that's work for me:

 

1- Start menu, Execute and write: gpedit.msc

2- Go to: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop

3- Right click and properties on "Remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop."

4- Click on Activate and validate.

 

Hope this topic will be helpfull to someone else, i pass a lot of hours to find a working solution, but now it's working :grin:

yes, Object dock is a short cut, so the recycly on the dock is a shortcut to the recycle bin

remove the bin, shortcut don't work

 

hide the bin, shortcut still works

 

same as a short cut to IE, unistall IE and the shortcut won't work
