Fences won't work at all

I can't seem to get fences to work at all. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, I instlled Impulse abnd still no go. It was running before the update and now nothing. I can see previous versions of my desktop but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Define "not working at all". Is it acting as if Fences is not installed? Is it crashing? Do you have any other applications installed that would affect it?
