But is your setting not supposed to dissapear when not in use? When I do that, it is also gone when I do this.
Strange thing is that it does not go away when I close my windows to the taskbar, only when I visit my desktop by the desktopicon in the taskbar.

No, on my computer, the one in the taskbar (near the startbutton, you know, on the left side).

When I want to hop over to my desktop and use the dock, it is gone while the settings are correct. It is an clean install, no extra's added or whatever could make the dock disfunction like this.

Like I said, it does work when I go to my desktop by closing the windows (or resize etc), but not when I go directly to my desktop.

At this moment, I use only 1 dock.

just tried it, seems to interact different than WinKey+D or right clicking on taskbar and choosing show desktop

try WinKey+D (or WinKey+M) or right clicking on taskbar and choosing show desktop

Thanks allot guys and Bichur for the explaination. Did not know that about the desktopicon and makes it clear why it does not work. Shame, because it is the easiest way to go to the desktop, but I do not think I would die any second earlier because I have to use WinKey+D or M.
