Ive had 'Gamestate Critical Error' twice now whilst I was playing demigod, in a row (two different days though)
Both times my side was losing badly (in part my fault, I was trying different Regulus builds against real people)
The error counts down 10 9 8 etc. until exit and there is an exit now button.
Is this an error on my side or somebody else?
I just got this error as well. First time though.

I know that one of my opponents quit, and it seems like the other one quit as well. So it might be an error when handing over a demigod control to an AI.

(it happens when a desync occurs - which sometimes occur when a person rage quits the game - nothing you can do, and game stats are not recorded)
I had this problem quite offen when I installed the program, 4 out of 5 games. I had the hungarian version first, then I installed the english, and it solved my problems. Well I still get critical gamestate errors, but like 2 out of 20. I don't know if this occuors in other languages, but you should try to install the english version. It won't fix the problem in all games, like shakenblade said it happens sometimes, but it will be remarkebly better (atleast it worked for me). 
Well thats a relief, I have had Demigod for a while now and these are the first times (luckily) it's happened to me. I had heard about Demigod's Peer to Peer sync system elsewhere, so it is interesting that it is it that is crashing.
Oh well, can only hope the upcoming patch will have this fixed, or at least occurences reduced
