Regulus boring much?!?

well anyway i played a 1v1 against a reg on prison. ok yeh i went in there dumb, but now i know. This guy seems to love playing these games coz he keeps on hosting these 1v1's, and plays as reg.

IT WAS THE MOST BORING GAME EVER!

i dunno where he gets the enjoyment out of it. there was no action at all. this is wat he did...

1. track you ... as often as he can and snipe to annoy you.

2. got mines planted at flags so he could snipe u if u hit them.

3. got MotB to slow down and combo up mines with it. and try AA you to death.

so anyway, every time id try to get to him thats pretty much wat he did, and flee if i were to get any sort of range on him (was TB).

It was a flee fest... mmmm .... fun ... gotta just love moving around the map.

 

if i had known, i wouldve gone erebus.

 

what i rlly wanna say is "if you ever come across this guy in a 1v1, prepare yourself to anti him, im pretty sure hes name has a 4 in it". hes not that hard coz i managed to kill him once and he didnt get to kill me. but i want everyone who vs' him to shove his tactic bak in his face. coz its not even a fun one...

I guess fun is in the eye of the beholder. I really like big maps with few DG's (read that as Mandala/Brothers 2/2 or 3/3) and most people do not.

I have to point out, and i am trying not to be an ass about it...but...his strat can't be too bad....he won the game. ;P

the real test is when you are both the same hero :)

this game proved nothing skillwise.

You couldn't play LE because game title was assasins only.

If u had chosen UB you should have won easily because he
could not come near you so you'll get the advantage of keeping
flags and outrank him.

Dont expect to get kills  on 1 ver 1 games against good players just
keep flags (especially the gold flag) buy 1st cur and save money for later on creeps.

Healer ... i see uve vsed this guy b4 lol. well, that was exactly what i tried to do, yet he always had flag dominance over me, he saw me everywhere i went. i wasnt expecting to kill that much either, but he always kept me running back to base to rid me of tracker. but yeh ... i wouldve gone UB (since its assassin only) if i had to vs him again, but i wont coz its BORING as hell.

Why in 1vs1 would you go anything else apart from sedna (or possibly qot, but i wont convince you of that)?

Unless you were trying to have a fun game, in that case why were you playing 1vs1?

i got them at war rank 8 i think ... just before he did. but coz he didnt really have to invest in equips and items like pots and locks and portal scrolls which i had to ALOT he was able to get giants very quickly.

Early priests are your only hope of really standing up to a regulus who's playing like that. The benefit of getting 10% of your health back every 10 seconds or so is going to outweigh pretty much any other investment you can make. If you'd gotten them at rank 3 or 4 (I realize it may or may not have been practical given the pacing of the game) you'd most likely have been in better shape.

Regardless you were probably pretty boned from the start since he's rank 8 and all the guy does apparently is 1v1 assassin only games on prison and 2v2 premades with his rank 15 buddy seraphim. Looking at his game history he goes UB for virtually every fight except TB, in which case he goes Regulus.

So you hopped into a game where the guy is just repeating a routine he's been honing for who knows how long. It's exactly why custom games shouldn't be counted, it's actually pretty pathetic.

When against a 1 vs 1 regulus, just health stack, both regen and total health. A good regulus would be able to hit you for at most 4000 damage after level 10 (6 mines at 450 each, and a snipe for 1k if he is far enough away). If you have 7k with good regen, he won't stand a chance. Even if he is sniping every 8 seconds, you will regen it almost as fast as he deals it. Keep some health potions with you and keep grabbing the flags. If he wants to get involved in a fight, regulus generally loses to other heath stacking assasins 1 vs 1.

Lemme reiterate here that priests are going to heal you about once every 10 seconds. Even if they only healed you once every 15 because of placement in the lane at 7k HP they'd be healing you for about 47 health per second. If you purposely move towards them when you know the heal cooldown is up (it's an invisible debuff on you) they can be healing you for about 70 health per second.

Even at far lower health levels, like 5k, they're still much, much better at stopping the snipe harassment than any item you could buy for a similar amount.

Regulus is actually a lot more annoying than he is boring. I had a game when i played rook and the enemy reg kept snipe spamming me every time his cooldown was up. I don't even understand why. I was at full health in the middle of my tower farm with no one attacking me.

That is rank #2 as the most annoying things that ever happened in game. The #1 was just a few days ago when i played with nikitakiller (i think) on exile. It was a 4v4, i was oak he was ub, the enemy team had a reg. I had the suspicion he was a moron when he declared in lobby about what sort of uber-gamer he is. We were at the health crystal when reg attacked him. Then he went after him right between the enemy towers. And he stopped and started attacking creeps while reg was pounding him. I healed him with blood soaked wand and told him to run. No response. I shielded him and told him to GTFO NOW and no response. Then FIRST BLOOD and he quitted. That's not even noobish, that is retarded. He didnt even run.

That fail was much too epic for even a double facepalm. Now everytime i get snipe spammed and harrassed by a reg i say "well, at least i don't have nikita on my team".

well hes very boring to play. usually i get more than 8 kills and 0 deaths every game with him, snipe for last hit is just too easy.

hes annoying when you are versing a double reg combo and both regs are purposely aiming you, and ONLY you.
