yea i notice when i installed fences then removed it it took off vistas auto placement for desktop shortcuts so now they'll go on top each other its really annoying so i reinstalled the new beta one and it now it doesnt have the auto placement im kind of pissed about it if theres a way to put back vistas auto placement that would be helpful

Correct me if I am wrong here as I am an XP Home user ... with XPc and previous OS's, you can right click on the desktop and move the pointer to "VIEW". VIEW has a right arrow, simply select "Auto Arrange".  As I stated earlier, I am using XP so, I don't know if this can be done with Vista.

This right click option should be the same with Vista, and should address this issue.
