[RESOLVED] IconPackager unable to install due to "incompatability"...

I've recently purchased a few new computer parts to build a new computer. I've purchased IconPackager and I am now trying to install it on my new computer, however, when I attempt, I get an error along the lines of, "This is not compatible with your current operating system."

I previously used Windows 7 x32 and it worked fine. Now I am using Windows 7 x64 bit, and I am receiving that error, even when I manually set the compatibility setting. Any way to fix this?

No one knows what the issue is? I submitted a ticket in their support section as well regarding this, and still no response...

Nevermind. Just received a response from the developers of IconPackager.

what was the resolution?

IP4 does not play well in some ways with Win 7.  Although at one time it was not, it is now blocked from installing on Win 7.  The next version (5) will add Windows 7 support, and is available as a beta to Object Desktop subscribers.

Just as an informational update to this post for those considering a subscription. Some two months or more after this post, iconpackager 5 is still in beta and as yet still does not properly change all icons in windows 7

End of quote
It does if you set all icons back to default first.

Refer here Replies 6 and 7.
