Increasing special attack damage

how?

I was just wondering if it was possible to increase the damage of a special attack like pounce or snipe with items.

 

Or do weapon damage modifiers only affect standard auto-attack?

 

Are there any exceptions?

The Oak has a special ability "Pentinence" that can temporarily increase the (special) attack damage that your team deals to the affected enemy Demigod.

any item with -cooldowns will help increase the rate at which you can use special abilities.. the question is if they are worthwhile enough

The Debilitating Flag in Leviathan will also increase the amount of damage the enemy takes from special abilities by 10%.

It doesn't make sense for some DGs to get it. Not much point as UB, for example, compared to what 18k could get you instead. It's not really worth it for Regulus either.

Depends on how you've itemized both...and for reggie? Build him with poisoned dagger, and early you have hats for mana, later this +mage +ash, never at a loss for mana...

 

Every hit gives him enough to keep the wings up and in crowds spam mines as soon as its up..

If we're talking infinite gold then all father's ring+deathbringer should keep you full anyway. If we're talking about normal games where you normally only get one really good artifact I think it's awful advice to take stormbringer over ashkandor.
