My impulse starts but will not update so I can't update anything else. It get to 82% and stops.
Orb / preferences /check prompt for impulse updates / restart impulse.
worked for me.
If that doesn't work, you can try uninstalling Impulse and reinstalling with this:
I'm starting to despair of this whole thing. I can't even get Impulse to install now. Turned off the firewall to make sure it could, but it just gives me prompts that all the needed parts are missing. I've not been able to run the Dreams, get the aero for the WB, and now I can't download and install the Impulse. Please help soon??

Dash - does that same executable link apply to today's update? It worked on the last update, not sure I want to try again with an older version if it's going to fail again.
