More info is needed. OS,free or Plus version of OD,SP installed, etc. Did you have it working before or is this a fresh install? Also,is your computer an Acer?

OS: Windows vista home edition SP 2. ObjectDock: The free version. I've reinstalled it 4 times but no luck and yes, my computer is an Acer Laptop.

Please see this thread regarding Acers E-security and OD conflicts. LINK  Good Luck. I'd start with reply # 9

Thanks, it works now. You saved my day :D . The problem was the Acer Empowering program, had to rename 2 files.

I too have the problem that I suddenly can't start ObjectDock 1.90 any more. When I run ObjectDock one dock (out of three) appears for about one second and then disappears again and the application shuts down. I use a Dell PC with Windows Vista Premium Home edition SP2 installed. (I tried to download the latest release of ObjectDock and install it again, but to no avail.)

Thank you for the reply. I cleared the OD cache, created new docks and OD works fine up to now. Great!

Do you happen to know what causes this problem and how one can avoid it from occurring again?

No I really don't I'd just be guessing, I just know that sometimes clearing out the cache solves some problems.

The best thing to do is keep yourself positioned by saving your themes regularly, then you don't have to re-create them.  Saving and loading themes is done within the Object Dock configuration window, click on "Themes" item on the left side, click on "Save current dock" (or "Load previous dock") button towards the bottom.

Glad it worked for you.

i think it's a script fart

usually it's a docklet that causes issues
