Art style=FAIL

Art style=FAIL

I don't think that anybody likes this minimalistic rudimentary cartoon style of graphics.

I hope that animations will be very good and detailed because at this point the animations are the only thing that can save this game.

Do you agree?

Also how come Stardock expects that people go from superb King's Bounty: The Legend to this graphics?

Like I said, the only thing that can save this game now are superb detailed animations of everything.

I think the art style is unique and different... there's a general shift to a more simplistic artstyle in the industry in general anyways.

I rather like it, it's easy on the eyes and quite obvious... but to be sure nobody will really know if the art style completely works till they've, ya know, actually PLAYED the game.

After all, people made fun of World of Warcraft in comparison to EverQuest 2 when it was coming out... turns out the art was less of an eye issue, but it made the difference for computer compatibility.

Clearly not true.

False dichotomy fallacy.

Nope. There are at least two ways in which graphics tradeoff with 'fun'.

1. Production - Stardock would have to invest resources (money, people, etc.) into developing photorealistic graphics that could otherwise be invested in improving the core gameplay.

2. Performance - Users with older systems may not be able to run games with photorealistic graphics without performance loss, which may affect gameplay.

False dichotomy fallacy.

You were closer to the mark before. "Games like these need no brilliant graphics in order to be superb" is not the same as "Games like this need to not have brilliant graphics in order to be superb."
