Lack of Support

Impulse seemed like a good idea...

I've purchased a number of games here. My first that I could not get working was Civ3. It filled all the requirements, but did not work at all. I sent in two support requests. It's been a month, and I haven't received a response from the Impulse / Stardock crew. I have posted in the forums, including the dedicated Civ3 forums, and have yet to hear from anyone.

This lack of support not only saddens me, it maddens me. What the heck? Is there NO support here? Didn't I just pay for a number of games? What do I have to do to get some help? Post a public rant?

Doesn't sound like my experience with Impulse at all, ususally they're very responsive.

I don't know if it will be any help to you, but I recall from my retail version of Civ3 that it would choke if you didn't run it in Win98 compatability mode.

Sorry to hear that. I'd be mad too if my requests weren't answered. So far I count myself lucky as although a few requests were answered a little slow, all were answered at some point.
