Quoting usernames with squared brackets breaks quote block

Several users like to put their clans or other stuff bracketed in front of their names: [TAI]Elixir

Quoting them with the quote-button simply puts their name plaintext in the who-attribute of the quote tag instead of escaping the brackets.

Code: html
  1. [quote who="[TAI]Elixir" reply="24" id="2309357"]
  2. It's like comparing Superman to Batman - both are great in their environment but if you'd match them up against each other Superman would wipe the floor with Batmans ass from two cities away.
  3. QFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/quote]

This, of course, breaks the quote box:

Quoting [TAI,
Elixir" reply="24" id="2309357"]

It's like comparing Superman to Batman - both are great in their environment but if you'd match them up against each other Superman would wipe the floor with Batmans ass from two cities away.

QFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I understand, there exists quoting code on other forums that seems to be more complex than what it is used on these forums. You should stick with quote and /quote to avoid the problems you are running into.

If you really feel the need to make sure that everyone knows who you are quoting, and where, you could always use the line above the quote to give the details. For instance

Hey man, you don't know what you are talking about. Let me explain the problem to you...

Or do something like that. The 2 examples I gave makes things pretty clear of who I'm quoting/talking to, and where the quote came from.

Yeah, quoting code isn't the most sophisticated here. :)

Yeah, quoting code isn't the most sophisticated here.

....but it works...;)

Quite adequately, too...;)
