Anyone from Asia play Demigod?

Hi all,

I recently got this game in Hong Kong where the game was constantly out of stock and tooks weeks to get a hold of. Now, since it was out of stock, my initial thoughts were that the game is so popular here that whatever stock that went to retail stores were immediately snatched up. Luckily, some kind soul was generous enough to give me a 50% off coupon code so i was able to buy online.

However, once i began to play the game (or try to anyway), i discovered that almost all games (and there arent that many to begin with) are hosted from EU or even NA. Obviously trying to connect to those games will result in me being kicked since my ping is so much higher than everyone elses. Even if a game does get going, Demigod is very strange in that not only is the lag noticible when my ping is high to the host, the whole game seems to stutter as if my PC was slow (which it isn't). That in itself is driving me bananas as I think this game is great.

Is there anyone in these forums that are in Asia? I'm having such a hard time trying to get a game going. I'm not sure how popular the game is in Asia (apparently not very), but is there anyone that wants to have a decent game going?

I play from Taiwan and to US hosts its usually 250 ping which is playable. It would be nice to have some people to play with in Asia, I suppose there must be since you said the game was out of stock in HK.

I am one of the Asian who is playing this game.  I found this game fun. My account is Gklove56.

How come the person 'BlingBlang' who said that "this game was a waste of money". I strongly disagree the view of his point.

may be he does not realise how fun this game is.

Anyway, I also hope that there will be more and more people going to play this game in asia.

Hi BlingBlang,

Check this out:

It's a thread where we tried rallying Singaporean players together. Most of us are now using XFire to setup games and check to see who's online.

There are asian players, you just have to be patient to wait for them. If you can't find Hong Kong players, games with Australians and Japanese are great too. Pings are usually 200-ish for them.
