Object Dock 1.9 534 won't let me rearrange

If I try to drag an object of any type from point A to B on the dock, it starts to move, but then zooms back to the starting point.  Is this a known bug of 1.9?

right-click on the dock >  select view > make sure "Lock Icon Dragging" is NOT checked :)

Do you have your mouse set up for left-handed use. This will also cause this problem.

It is unchecked.

That must be it then.  I do mouse left-handed. Trouble is, you can't use the right-mouse button as that is the context menu item.  How does ObjectDock detect mouse clicks?  If you use the OS WM_ mouse messages, Windows reverses the buttons for you and you don't have to reverse them yourself.

So is someone coming up with a fix?  I used RocketDock for a while with XP.  My main problems with it were that it had fewer widgets (but organized the download site better than WinCustomize) and was VERY sensitive to drags.  Other than that, I consider them to be very similar.

While I don't know if OD2.0 will fix this,at least one other user eliminated the problem by using a proper left-handed mouse, or his Setpoint software. It was in THIS thread...or you could start a new thread and ask other left handers what they do. It's just a thought. Good Luck.

You can display only what you want in the galleries.  In the gallery of your choice, click on the All Categories dropdown arrow and select the one you want.  Then you get only what you need.  Take a look below:

Well, I am trying IntelliPoint.  It's a MS mouse, so...  I haven't wanted to install IntelliPoint for a while as I considered it redundant.

Intellipoint does appear to be a workaround, but not without problems.  It doesn't reverse the buttons at the driver level.  As a result, until my desktop is mostly loaded, I have a right-handed mouse in my left hand.  It can be troublesome knowing which button to use in the meantime.  Same problem happens during shutdown.  If there is a dialog that pops up like a program won't respond, I might get the wrong button.

I did figure out how to use the WinCustomize filters.  Thanks to messiah1.  However, I did end up installing RocketDock anway.  I now have 2 docks for free. :D

Glad I could help.  And there's nothing wrong with free.  If it does what you need.
