Removing Gadgets from a Theme

How to remove pesky gadgets I don't care for from a theme that I like

Greetings all,

It's been a few years since my last subscription to Object Desktop, but now that my employer was willing to cover the cost, I'm all over the customization-fun.

Recently, I installed an Aero variant. The theme is great - dark, clean, and not big & blocky. However, upon bootup, I also get three gadgets that pop-up which I manually disable. Is there any way that I can remove these gadgets. For that matter, are there any straightforward instructions that inform me how to add/remove gadgets from a theme?

Thanks in advance. Stardock rocks.

Sorry about that. I see it listed under "Applications" (within the theme manager). It is called Aero Midnight.

Only now have I also noticed that, in addition to the stated problem, my Windows-Circle-button-thingie isn't skinned at all. I've also got another thread wherein I'm trying to find some detailed documentation so I don't need to pester you folks when I know an answer is in a PDF.

Thanks.

You can right click on teh gadgets and set them to not load at startup.

reboot and the start button should be in place

Thanks Zubaz. I will do that upon my next reboot.

I figured the problem out. It turns out that the gadgets are loaded from the Start Menu, which (for some reason) I spaced out on checking. After removing them, the problem has stopped.
