M*soft Security Essentials Beta causing problems?

>_>

I recently downloaded the new Microsoft Security Essentials AV scanner beta files

onto my Vista Sp / 2 64 bit machine.  I noticed that the latest version of Sins / Entrenchment

started showing freezes and dropping down to the desktop.  I hadn't changed anything

else so I was suspicious of the beta app.

Anybody having problems with Sins / Entrenchment and Microsoft's new app?

Usually I suggest that you check your installation of sins, but since this is M$, and beta. Uninstall it immediately. Either get AVG or another antivirus

Don't use anything from Micro$oft which hasn't had a few years time to get functional.

Agree.  I also would never use beta security software.

I've had zero problems with Sins and Kaspersky.

BUT... if you really want to see some sparks fly, open up the Forge tools while running Kaspersky....

I have zero issues with MSE x64, 7 RTM x64, and Sins with Entrenchment (however, I have *not* applied the 1.16 or later patches yet; could either of those be an issue?).

No clue, since I don't use any M$ security software, their base software is lame to begin with. why not just give it a try for yourself
