How to unlock different races in skirmish mode?

Hello,

Im pretty new to gal civ 2 but a veteran turn based player. I was wondering how to unlock other races but terran alliance to play ?

Ive played 2 games on challenging, painful and masochistic and quit when winning. So i havent actually "won" a single game :blush:  . Any help would be appreciated  |-)

All races are available from the start, just make sure you don't have a scenario selected that is limited to a single race.
