Cannot host a game

hi,
whenever i go into multiplayer i can join most games fine.
Whenever i click host a game i'll get the screen with game name port etc. and when i click host there, the game completely freezes forcing me to tab out and use ctrl alt del or something to quit the game.
since yesterday i started playing pantheon, and some will play and connect fine, but there's also several occasions where the game just locked up forcing me to do what i said before.
any ideas??? ty
