Suggestion for starbases

In the next patch could there be...

1: Add flak turrets to the weapons sytems upgrades on starbases

I realize that starbases can host up to14 squadrons but this has proved to be an ineffective countermeasure to a carrier spam even with massed hangar defenses which usually maxes out at about 30 squadron, I myself have even tried using the additive of the flak turrets on the hangars for the TEC and this also has done nothing.

I just seems kind of rediculous for something as massive and powerful as a starbase to be COMPLETELY vunerable to a single squadron of bombers.

2:Please nerf the Vasri Starbase or increase its cost.

I suggest this because it, being able to move, is best used as offensive weapon and since it is the vasari's starbase killer it will plainly kill another starbase, I've witnessed a single vasari starbase that was fully upgraded in weapons systems and health take on two fully upgraded argonevs that were fully upgraded in the same respects alongside 28 squadrons of bombers, I know this seems highly implausible but it happened and the vasari starbase survived.

just build SCs on the starbase instead of having flak turrets

 

as for nerfing the vasari starbase, didn't you just say that starbases cannot take out bombers?  how did the vasrari starbase take out bombers?  anyways, the vasari starbase fully upgraded is supposed to be able to take about another starbase, and plus it already costs a ton of credits.

Once again, someone misunderstands the reason the Orkulus is allwed to move: the Vasari have no anti-structure ship. Without one, there would be only one way for them to kill a starbase, sending in your whole fleet and losing up to half of it. With the orkulus, the Vasari now have an anti-structure "ship".

Remember that the Orkulus can upgrade its weapons further than the other starbases. But you are right about adding anti-strike craft turrets (or atleast a possible purchasable upgrade). Wait, did you say carrier spam?

another point is the yes the vasari SB doesnt move but it is the only SB without mass fleet killing abilities. Moving is its only advantage.

The TEC starbase can detonate destroing every single ship other than caps, and the Advent have meteor storm.

Vasari SB can be used for offence but it is weaker against large fleets. Advent and TEC Sbs can destroy alot of ships in enemy fleets with their abilites. Vasari cant.

Nah Starbases should not get flak.

Their should how ever be a teir 6-7 reseach in the defence setion that will give you +1 squadron on hangers and startbases.

I already ralize the Vasari don't get an assault cruiser but when it comes down the the vasari being able too take out 2 fully updraded SBs with a single SB thats a little OP, I'd be fien if it was 1.5x as powerful but not twice.

Oh and I never said it KILLED the obmbers, it simply killed their hosts. (the sbs.) Oh and a single squadron out of 14 will make no diffrence.

I like the idea of starbased being vulnerable to bombers.  If we learned anything from Star Wars its that a handfull of stunt fighters CAN take down a starbase. ^_^

This would be nice, have them deal the same kind of damage as flak cruisers, so they do some damage to bombers but not enough to be hugely effective, and could encourage more people to build fighters to combat the bombers in the form of the hangar upgrades, which I don't see people use as often is I think it should, the flak could protect those squadrons from enemy fighters while theyre taking out enemy bombers. Seems reasonable. +1 vote

As for vasari starbases.

They should be the top of the line, better than the others. And as its the vasari counter for starbases, it should be exceptional at killing them. With some good fleet management, TEC and Advent can take on a fully upgraded vasari starbase and win. The only race that has a real problem are vasari who would have to construct another Orkulus in the same well or go bomber heavy. I think they are well balanced. One just needs to adjust strategy to manage them.
