Regulus runs to point blank on targeted demigods

Several times while playing a regulus I've had him run to point blank on a fleeing demigod.  It's not that I missed because he keeps shooting the whole time he's running towards them, and I've had it where he'd be following a fleeing rook point blank after closing in shooting the whole time.  When you've only got 2.5k health at a point where they can melee you for 400-500 a hit, you really don't ever want to be point blank...  It seems to always happen when they're snared and running away.
