Does the computer cheat?

I'm fooling around in with Rook on Hard(tournament) and it got to the point were everyone was level 20. I couldn't kill a sinlge demigod and would get killed almost instantly. Every single hit would be evaded and only do like 60 damage meanwhile every hit I was taking was doing 400-600 damage. I' fighting Beast in the middle of about 4 of my own towers plus a couple of Rooks towers, plus some of the reinforcements and I even had a liitle demigod help for some of it and I die and Beast has got full health, yes FULL. How is that possible?

yes it does cheat a lot on hard, especially on some fights like the last one that is really cheesy.

You can't win some of those matches, but you can still be the one that gains the more favor points, and that is all that matters.

Wait till you try nightmare

 

Set up a single player game with starting level 20, filthy rich setting on all night mare AIs.

Notice how Rook runs like a super athelete. That's hilarious to watch just for the trouble.

Over the course of a 30min game (single player). I had a nightmare player ally. I had more creep kills, 15 player kills. My nightmare ally had about 1/8 the creep kills and 0 player kills. He had over 40k gold at the end, I only had 39k gold... there we go, they cheat. They also get about 30% more exp than you do since I hav eheld the 20% exp flag and stay in combat constantly, and they still seem to outlevel me.

Hard and Nightmare AIs get gold and stats cheats. To add insult to injury, your own AI allies in Tournament remain on Normal.

In both Hard/Nightmare it's important to either 1) Win quickly, or 2) Deny the enemy team the artifact shop (those flag locks are awesome). Exile is a very bad map for Tournament since the artifact shop is in each team's base, so you have to win that one quickly which is tricky if it's a Conquest.

If the enemy starts getting artifacts, they'll just farm your AI allies for xp and even more gold and it's bad mojo.

Nightmare cheats.  The other difficulties either play on your level or lower.

From what I understand, the AI allies that you get in Tournament mode are 'Normal' regardless of what difficulty you play so on Hard or Nightmare, your team will be at a disadvantage.
